Lots of exciting things coming in 2015...

February 14-17: Gwerin Gwallgof / Folk Frenzy!

A new venture from TRAC, a residential course for trad musicians between ages 11-18 held at the Urdd's GLANLLYN camp.

I'm very excited to be teaching an instrumental class at this brand new event, which should be a great opportunity for young enthusiasts to let loose and make loads of great music!

February 25 - March 23: Y Fenyw Ddaeth o'r Môr for National Theatre Wales

This spring I'll be assistant musical director for National Theatre Wales, as they take on a production of Menna Elfyn's adaption of the Frederik Ibsen classic, 'The Lady from the Sea'. The play is set on a Norwegian fjord, so expect lots of haunting Scandinavian songs and hardanger fiddle music from myself and the main man, composer Dan Lawrence.

May 2 - 4: 'Beyond the Marches' for TRAC & EFDSS with PRSf

The English Folk Dance and Song Society, along with its Welsh counterpart TRAC team up, with the backing of the Performing Rights Society foundation, to co-ordinate this very exciting project for the 'Beyond Borders' scheme. Georgia Ruth, Elan Rhys and Patrick Rimes of Wales will join England's Archie Churchill-Moss, Lucy Ward and James Findlay for a week of research in Cecil Sharp House and the Welsh National Library. They hope to unearth some forgotten links between their respective cultures, and the findings will be on display during the series of gigs which will follow; at the Welsh National Library in Aberystwyth, Wales Millenium Centre Cardiff, and Cecil Sharp House, Camden.

October 12 - 24: Cylch Canu / SongChain

After a hugely succesful debut tour in 2014, the brainchild of Gerard KilBride, with the backing of Theatr Mwldan will return this year with a brand new show. Full line-up and venues still TBC, but it's sure to be a very exciting project - not to be missed!
